Creating a reading nook
We love reading with our boys. Freddie is more into it than Tommy is (Tommy is 2 and would obviously rather be running around!) and has story after story every night.
He likes being read to during the day too, so we decided we wanted to create a cosy little reading nook for him (and Tommy too, when he decides that he wants to get involved!)
Bean Bag Bazaar got in touch and very kindly gifted us a bean bag and we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to put the reading nook together!
Our reading nook
I like to have our books down low so that Freddie has access to them, and can choose the ones he wants to read. It’s also important to me that – even though he’s not interested at the moment – books are within reach of Tommy too. Our Little Bird rainbow rug adds a nice bit of extra comfort underfoot, and we also thought this would be the perfect place for our new Lion Cub print from Diddi and Mo
ICON™ Oria Bean Bag Armchair
For the main event, we decided on the ICON™ Oria Bean Bag Armchair in yellow (there are lots of fab colours you can choose from!) for the corner of our nook. It is so comfy! The boys love sitting in it. I do too, when I get a look in!
We had a small bean bag before, which was OK, but nowhere near the quality and comfort of this one (my husband has even fallen asleep in it… don’t tell him I told you!)
It’s got a handy handle on it too, so you can move it from room to room with ease (or even outside if you want… with Water-resistant Hydroweave technology, it’s certainly durable enough).
I love the contemporary look and that it doesn’t look like a kids bean bag – this would also look good in our front room too!
I think our reading nook is a roaring success; I recommend checking out the bean bags at Bean Bag Bazaar and creating your own reading nook! Looking forward to making good use of it!
