Nuts Pick Review: The Gourmet Nut Gift Boxes Perfect for Father’s Day and Beyond

Every year the same question comes up: what do you actually buy a dad who says he doesn’t want anything? The obvious options – beer, a football scarf, novelty socks – feel a bit tired at this point. So when Nuts Pick got in touch and offered to send me a selection of their products to review, I said yes immediately. Not just because I love a good snack, but because I genuinely thought this could be the answer to the Father’s Day gift problem.
And it absolutely is. Father’s Day food gifts don’t get much better than this.
What Is Nuts Pick?
Nuts Pick (nutspick.co.uk) is a premium UK-based online nuts and snacks retailer. What makes them stand out from a supermarket nut aisle is their approach to freshness – everything is roasted in small batches to order, so what lands on your doorstep (or a dad’s doorstep) is as fresh as it gets. They offer everything from classic roasted nuts and flavoured cashews to gorgeous gourmet nut gift boxes, chocolate-covered treats, and dried fruit – and the gifting range in particular is something special.
I was sent a generous selection of products to try, and I’m going to be honest with you: I had to exercise serious self-control not to eat everything before writing this review.
Everything I Tried – An Honest Review
Here’s the full lineup I received, and my thoughts on each:
Nuts Chocolate Gift Box A brilliant starting point and exactly the kind of thing that makes these gourmet nut gift boxes so giftable – premium nuts meets indulgent chocolate in one beautifully packaged box. It’s the sort of thing you’d be genuinely delighted to receive.
Cashew Lovers Gift Box A dedicated box for cashew fans – and honestly, if your dad is a cashew person, this is the gift. A variety of cashew styles packed into one box, it’s a really thoughtful way to explore a favourite nut in all its forms.
Salted and Smoked Mix Right, I need to talk about this one. The Salted and Smoked Mix was, hands down, one of my favourites out of everything I tried. There’s something about that smoky depth combined with the saltiness that is completely addictive. If your dad likes bold, savoury flavours – and let’s face it, most do – this is an absolute winner. It disappeared very quickly in my house.
Chocolate Tiramisu Almonds These were a genuine surprise. Sweet, indulgent, and somehow managing to taste exactly like tiramisu – they’re the kind of snack you pick up meaning to have just one and then suddenly the bag is gone. If your dad has a sweet tooth, these are a must. Delicious doesn’t quite cover it.
Milk Chocolate Cocoa Dusted Almonds A more classic chocolate and nut pairing, but done really well. The cocoa dusting adds a slightly bitter edge that stops these from being sickly sweet – a nice balance that makes them very easy to snack on.
Belgian Chocolate Brazil Nuts I have to give these a special mention because chocolate Brazil nuts are a family favourite. Rich Belgian chocolate wrapped around a properly chunky brazil nut – there’s a reason this combination is a classic. If you’re also looking for Mother’s Day chocolate gifts that feel a step above the usual, honestly, these would be perfect too (they’re my mums personal favourites!)
Marcona Almonds Marcona almonds are a step up from your standard almond – softer, buttery, and with a more delicate flavour. These are the kind of nut that feels a bit special, a bit gourmet. Great for snacking on their own or alongside a glass of something nice.
Roasted Salted Macadamia Macadamias are always a treat, and these were spot on – perfectly roasted, beautifully salted, and with that rich creaminess that makes macadamias so indulgent. A real luxury nut done properly.
Pistachio Baked Sicilian Lemon Salted This one is interesting – the lemon flavour is bright and zesty without being overpowering, and it works surprisingly well with the natural sweetness of the pistachio. It’s the kind of flavour combination that makes you think: why haven’t I had this before? Unique and genuinely tasty.
Dried Whole Figs A lovely addition to the mix – naturally sweet, chewy, and a nice contrast to all the crunch. Great on their own or alongside a cheese board, which makes them a brilliant choice for dads who love a bit of a spread.
Dried Mango Strips Intensely fruity and naturally sweet, these are a brilliant palate cleanser between richer snacks. They’re also a great option if you’re putting together a snack spread, adding a bit of colour and tropical brightness to the mix.
Why Nuts Pick Is the Answer to the Father’s Day Gift Problem
Here’s the thing about Father’s Day food gifts: they work because they’re personal, they’re consumable, and – done well – they feel genuinely luxurious. A beautifully curated box of gourmet snacks says something different to a mug with ‘World’s Best Dad’ on it. It says: I thought about what you’d actually enjoy.
What I love about Nuts Pick’s range is that there really is something for every type of dad. The Salted and Smoked Mix for the savoury lover. The Chocolate Tiramisu Almonds or the Nuts Chocolate Gift Box for dads with a sweet tooth. The Marcona Almonds or Macadamias for the foodie who appreciates quality. The Cashew Lovers Gift Box for anyone who has a definite nut preference.
And unlike the usual suspects on the Father’s Day shelves, these feel genuinely special. They’re the kind of unique edible gifts that stand out – and that the recipient will actually remember.
The Quality Really Does Show
Across everything I tried, the quality was consistently high. The nuts were fresh and crunchy in a way that tells you they haven’t been sitting around. The flavours in the more adventurous products – the Sicilian lemon pistachio, the tiramisu almonds – were well-balanced and clearly thought through, not just gimmicky.
That small-batch, roasted-to-order approach really does make a difference. If you’ve ever bought a bag of nuts from a supermarket and found them a bit soft or flavourless, you’ll notice the contrast immediately.
My Verdict
If you’re stuck on Father’s Day gifts and want something that feels genuinely considered – not just grabbed off a shelf – Nuts Pick is the answer. The gourmet nut gift boxes are beautifully presented, the quality is excellent, and the range of flavours means there’s genuinely something for every dad.
It’s also worth knowing that the gifting range extends well beyond Father’s Day. The Belgian Chocolate Brazil Nuts are already on my radar for next Mother’s Day, and as unique edible gifts go in the UK, Nuts Pick covers birthdays, anniversaries, thank-you gifts, and more.
Head over to nutspick.co.uk to explore the full range – and maybe treat yourself to the Salted and Smoked Mix while you’re there. You can thank me later.
