Car Seat Safety | Graco Milestone ALL-IN-ONE Car Seat review

Car seats can be confusing.  It feels like the rules keep changing – how long should they be rear-facing for?  When should they move to the next size??? (see here for the most up-to-date rules!).  Even now i’ve just read that a child must be rear-facing until they are over 15 months old!

The thought of buying different car seats for different stages is not only a hassle, it’s an expensive one too!

But, there’s a carseat on the market that claims to be “the only car seat you’ll ever need”.  That carseat is the Graco Milestone ALL-IN-ONE.  And you can absolutely see why.

I love that it is adaptable enough that it works for both my eldest (2 1/2) and youngest (6 months).  Incredibly, it is suitable from birth right up to 36kg (around 12 years old).  It has three different modes – transitioning from rear-facing infant car seat (birth to 13

kg) to forward-facing 5-point harness seat (9-18kg) to high-back booster (15-36kg).

And I certainly didn’t get any complaints from Fred when it came to the comfort factor (although he was heading off to Grandad’s house, so I rarely get any complaints anyway!)

The no-rethread harness system is a godsend – who has time to faff around when you need to get your kid in the car??

And from a safety aspect, it also features a steel reinforced frame, and side impact protection, to provide the best head protection at every stage.

Machine washable seat pad too – it can be removed without removing the harness so it is super easy to keep the car seat clean from grubby little fingers (and when yogurt raisins are the current snack of choice, machine washable is essential).

And… did I mention the toddler essential?  A CUP HOLDER!  🙂

It really does seem like this will be the only car seat i’ll ever need!
