Recipe | Chocolate Peanut Butter mug cake
Delicious Friday treat! Super easy and this single serving will make you happy when you’re craving cake!
- 2 tbsp self raising flour
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- 3 tsp sugar
- a pinch salt
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
Put all dry ingredients into a large mug (it does work in a “average” sized mug, but expect it to rise above the rim!) and mix. Then add the vegetable oil and milk and mix again. The mixture should be fairly thick. Plop the peanut butter blob on top and push it down into the mixture slightly. Put in the microwave for approx 1 minute (microwaves vary, so keep an eye on it!). The sponge should have a slgiht spring to it when you take it out. Leave to cool slightly and enjoy.

I would just like to say that – as an avid baker – do not make this your regular cake fix! Baking a whole cake is a wonderful thing. Making a mug cake is also a wonderful thing… CAKE IS A WONDERFUL THING! 🙂
